Construction on the 15/215 freeway interchange, dubbed the Devore Interchange Project, has forced full and partial freeway closures as crews work to add lanes to the freeway and make other improvements.

Caltrans announced both directions of the 215 at Devore Road will be closed overnight this week.

Detours will direct northbound motorists from the closed portion of the 215 to the 15 Freeway. Cars traveling south will be directed along side streets around the closure.

Northbound closures start tonight and will happen again next week.

Southbound closures will run each night Monday through Friday for two weeks.

During the same period, lanes, ramps and side streets will also be closed for construction.

Meanwhile, people driving up to Big Bear Lake on weekdays will want to take Highway 38 and leave early.

Part of Highway 18 will continue to be closed Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the remainder of the month.

Caltrans is cleaning turnouts and shoulders along the road between Snow Valley Ski Resort and the Big Bear Dam.
